Volunteering

Family volunteers are one of Our Lady of the Lake’s most valuable resources. Our children learn through our example and recognize that we are part of a greater educational, religious and social community. Each year, we demonstrate our commitment to this idea through our service to the school and parish. The stronger our community, the more benefits our children receive.

The opportunities for volunteering at Our Lady of the Lake are vast and varied. Children love seeing and knowing that their parents and families are doing something special at school. We thank you for completing this commitment that helps to make the Our Lady of the Lake School and Parish community so special.

Parent Expectations:

The annual commitment hour requirement is 30 hours for a two-parent family and 15 hours for a single-parent family. It is required that at least 4 volunteer hours per family are spent supporting the annual auction. Failure to fulfill the annual commitment hour requirement will result in an assessment charge of $20.00 per hour due May 31st each year.

Various events and efforts are coordinated during the school year where parents can volunteer their time and talent to enhance their students' learning experience. See below for volunteer opportunities. For accounting questions, please contact Carolyn Casey in the school office at [email protected].

Volunteering is not just a valuable tool to help build and foster community, but also an indispensable way to keep tuition affordable.

Please review the requirements for school volunteers.
