Speech Team

OLL has a long and proud tradition of participation in the Catholic High School’s Invitational Tournaments for Seattle area parish school’s 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

Both Bishop Blanchet and Seattle Prep high schools award tuition scholarship prizes to 8th grade winners in several categories:  Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Oratory, Editorial Commentary, Impromptu and Expository.  In addition, OLL's Speech Team participates in the Eastside Catholic Invitational each year.

OLL relies on parent and parish volunteers as coaches and judges. Judges’ training is available to all interested participants at BBHS Saturday, December 3rd from 9 to 11 am and on Monday, December 5th from 5 to 7pm.
