“OLL's challenging and hands-on science program more than prepared my daughter for the rigor of high school science.”

Teacher's Comments

Dear Parents,

We are continuing our review of multiplication and division.  We will continue to use multiplication and division in problem solving.  Please keep up the help at home with the multiplication and division facts. The following forms of daily practice may be very helpful:  using flash cards, using the facts sheets (the students have access to these in the classroom), spending a bit of time on a website like www.mathfactcafe.com or www.factmonster.com.

Our Kids Take Heart nutrition and fitness program has had us reading Nutrition Fact labels on food packages--looking for serving size, calories per serving and number of grams of fat in each serving.  We will make "eyeball estimates" of servings of liquids (water) and non-liquids (Cheerios).

Our field trip to the Seattle Art Museum is on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.  Permission slips went home last Friday with the 3rd graders.  Please return them by tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, 2015.  Thank you.

Mrs. Marshall
