Our Lady of the Lake Parish School offers a comprehensive academic program for students in grades Preschool through 8th Grade. Our school responds to the developmental needs of children through instruction that is rigorous, relevant and directly related to National and State Standards. OLL's curricular program and instructional approach is rooted in best practices and assessed using a variety of tools, including:
- DIBLES reading assessment
- AIMSweb for math computation, and
- Classroom generated assessments.
Teachers use this data to change their instructional approach to meet the needs of each student.
Over the last several years, OLL teachers have committed themselves to implementing new math and writing curricula across all grade levels. And we recently added Spanish language for middle school students. OLL students are well prepared as they head off to local high schools, which include: Bishop Blanchet, Seattle Prep, Holy Names, O'Dea, Roosevelt and Nathan Hale.
OLL Self Study
OLL School conducted a self study from August 2011 to the Spring of 2013 that examined our school's academic, spirtual, financial progress. The findings of this study are found in this document. It also outlines the needs of the school as outlined in our school action plan found in Chapter 4.
