Development Director at Our Lady of the Lake
The Development Director at Our Lady of the Lake (OLL) seeks to increase engagement and connectedness within the OLL school and parish, and to develop relationships with the greater community, as well. The Development Director is responsible for directing the strategic planning and day-to-day development activities of the school and parish.

Qualities desired in this position include a proven ability to provide big-picture strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, collaborative leadership skills that bring people together, and maintaining a high standard for work quality and confidentiality. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits.

The position focuses on fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Development/Fundraising: Develops donor support for school tuition assistance and other greatest needs through the development process including stewardship of current donors (parish and school). Serves as development director for the parish and school in areas such as:
    • School Auction
    • Parish Fundraising
    • Corporate/Foundation Grants
    • Corporate matching gifts
    • Legacy Giving
    • Alumni Relations
    • Capital Campaigns
    • Annual “Fund-the-Gap” appeals, and
    • Other fundraising activities
  • Marketing/Enrollment: Develops and implements marketing and enrollment plan to attract and retain OLL students through building relationships and promoting the OLL experience. Ensures consistent communications across all platforms, including coordinating social media.
  • Event Planning: Coordinates community-building events for school and parish in collaboration with volunteer leads for events such as Parents Club events, picnics, social dinners, Bingo nights, and other events.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Serves on school Administrative team, responsible for helping to shape school policy and overall decision-making. Participate in committees as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned consistent with the mission of Our Lady of the Lake.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

  • Strong belief in Catholic education and our school and parish mission
  • BA in communications or related field relevant to duties
  • Educational or work experience in Catholic school fundraising and development
  • Technology proficiency in development software, Microsoft Office, and Google products
  • Required: Compliance in the Archdiocesan “Safe Environment” requirements.
